Sayo Reynolds - Founder

Galerie Inaba, founded by Sayo, reflects a unique vision shaped by her multicultural upbringing between Japan and Bali. Now living in Australia, she finds inspiration through seeking meaningful connections with our surroundings especially environment and interior of where we live.

Galerie Inaba, the online gallery, features a carefully selected collection influenced by her Japanese parents, Takashi and Shihoko Inaba, who are respected primitive art collectors. Growing up surrounded by their appreciation for primitive and feel-evoking objects, Sayo developed a strong connection to the minimalistic aesthetic and Wabi-Sabi philosophy, which can bring unexpected joy.

Over the decades, the Inaba family has collected a variety of art pieces, many are museum-quality antiques and modern art, each piece holding its own beauty and value to the family. The gallery’s curated collection is extension of that, includes ancient, primitive, and contemporary art.

As Sayo embraces her own family, she understands the importance of keeping this legacy alive. Through Galerie Inaba, she hopes to share the true beauty of primitive, Wabi, and Sabi art, presenting pieces that connect through their unique power, shapes, lines, and designs.
